Peach gum processing steps
Peach gum is harvested during the peach growing season of peach, plum, apricot and cherry trees. Use a knife to cut off the gums material on the trunks of the tree, and place them in the sun to dry. This is the raw material of peach gum. When harvesting peach gum, do not damage the bark.
Remove impurities —— soak the dried raw materials of the peach gum in water (solid-liquid ratio is 1:2), when the raw materials are soaked and swelled, tear the raw materials into pieces, and remove the bark, sawdust, sediment and other impurities. Afterwards, you can clean it up and then drain off the water and move on to the next process.
Hydrolysis – Add the raw materials and water into the jacketed reaction pot, stir it and then heat it up with steam or oil. The temperature should be controlled at about 120°C. The reaction can be completed after 3-6 hours, then filtered through a 40-mesh copper wire mesh screen, and then loaded the raw materials into a large vat, afterwards, the raw material becomes the product to be bleached.
Drying—Put it in a stainless steel pan with steam for purging, or heat it directly in the pot with fire. During the heating process, the material should be constantly stirred. After drying, it will becomes a paste product with 50% water content. By using the drying method, pure solid peach gum can be obtained.
Peach gum drying process
Put the peach gum into the pallet of the material car. Each tray could load 7.5kg while each material car has 12 layers, which means a single material car can load 90kg of peach gum in total. If there is a 6P heat pump host installed with a drying room of 5.8 meters length, 3 meters width and 2.2 meters height, then 8 material trucks could be load in a time, which mean a total of 750 kg of peach gum could be put into the drying room at a time. The drying process takes 12-15 hours, the temperature is controlled at 55 ° C. After the continuous dehumidification process completed, the whole drying process can be finished.
