Generally, we uses coal, boilers, etc. for drying wood, however, with the continuous development of science and technology, our drying method for wood is also changing. For example, our Shuntec has improved the drying method for eucalyptus wood by adopting heat pump drying method.
Drying material: Eucalyptus
Drying equipment: air energy heat pump dryer
Drying requirements: it should be able to load 45-50 cubic meters of wood at a time
The drying method is as follows:
Equipment and barn outfits
In this case, a 14P wood dryer has been equipped for drying the eucalyptus wood. The barn was built with a size of 60 square meters, equipped with a fan wall with 16 fans. During the drying process, the approach for supplying air is by the upper supply and bottom return mode. This way for supplying air is relatively uniform.
Drying Steps
1、Emissions
Arrange the wood neatly as shown below
It should be noticed that the wood shall not be placed by the following type, which is a wrong placement method.
2、Drying
After our investigation, the eucalyptus wood is a kind of wood that is relatively difficult to dry. When coal or boilers were used to dry eucalyptus, the eucalyptus would be prone to cracking, resulting in deformation and low quality of the dried eucalyptus.
Shuntec uses heat pump dryer equipment to dry eucalyptus according to the characteristics of eucalyptus. The Shuntec drying process of eucalyptus are as follows:
Preheating: during the preheating and drying process, we could adjust the temperature to about 20~30℃. This stage is mainly to remove the evaporated water in the roasting barn. At this stage, dehumidification process are not necessary, because if the humidity is dehumidified, the temperature inside the barn will be lowered unbalanced. The preheating process will be continued for 2 to 3 hours.
Dehumidification: after preheating, we also need to dehumidification. The purpose of dehumidification is very simple, that is to directly exhaust the water vapor inside the roasting barn, which is equivalent to that we dehumidified the internal temperature, and then used high-temperature gas for drying.
Drying: during the drying process, we firstly drying the wood by low-temperature, and then we gradually increase the temperature.
Summary: if we adopt this drying method to dry wood, the drying temperature is relatively uniform during the drying process. When drying process has been done by absorbing the heat of the outside air, the drying temperature can reach 80 ℃. As we use a gradual heating method to dry wood, the wood is not easy to deform after drying, and the quality of eucalyptus is good as well.
