Osmanthus drying process
After the osmanthus is harvested and goes through the cleaning process, it can be dried in the drying room. Put the washed osmanthus into the material tray. The mesh number at the bottom of the tray should be small to prevent the osmanthus from falling off. In general, 3P drying&dehumidification machine’s host is equipped with a drying room with a length of 3.5 meters, a width of 2.2 meters and a height of 2.2 meters. The drying room can put four material trucks in it. The size of the material truck is 1 meter long, 0.85 meters wide and 1.7 meters high, with a total of 12 floors. Each layer should not stack over 3 cm high, and each layer is loaded with about 5 kg of fresh osmanthus. Each material truck is loaded with 60 kg of fresh osmanthus, and 4 trucks is loaded with 240 kg of fresh osmanthus.
The drying procedure is divided into 4 stages. The temperature of the first stage is 50°C and the drying time is 2 hours, so that the sweet-scented osmanthus in the drying room could be evenly heated. Generally, the drainage can be seen in about 50 minutes. After the temperature is balanced, the second stage is entered. The temperature raise to 55%. The relative humidity in the drying room should be set at 30%, and it shall continuous dehumidify for 6 hours. At this time, the water volume of the drain pipe increases. In the third stage, the temperature is raised to 58°C, the relative humidity in the drying room is set at 20%, the drying time is 2 hours, and it shall continuously dehumidify. After running for 1 hour, the water flow of the drain pipe ends and becomes a water droplet. After working continuously for another 1 hour, the drying work can basically be completed.
