Ginger drying process
The weight of a single batch of ginger is large. Generally, it is sliced by a slicer after cleaning, the thickness of the sliced ginger is about 3-5 mm. Afterwards, loaded the ginger into a material tray and pushed into the drying room. Two 12P hosts are equipped in a drying room with a length of 11.5 meters, a width of 4 meters, and a height of 2.2-meters. 18 material trucks could be loaded in to the drying time for each time, and each of which can hold 150 kg of ginger slices. A total of 2700 kg of fresh turmeric slices can be placed in one batch. The water content of turmeric slices is large, thus 2 sets of fresh air lines should be installed in the drying system on each side. The temperature should be set at 55 °C at first, and it takes 22 hours for each batch to finish the drying process.
